Welcome to 1st Yardley Gobion Scout Group

Our site includes information about our Cub and Beaver groups, where to put your badges, links to photos and scouting websites, and how to contact us.

Group Background

We are part of the Scout Association, started by Lord Robert Baden Powell in 1907. He arranged a camp to Brownsea Island for 22 boys from a range of backgrounds.

1st Yardley Gobion Scouts was established in 1967, previously known as 1st Whittlebury Scout Group. This was renamed in 2007 to 1st Yardley Gobion Scout Group as it has been based in Yardley Gobion for many years.

Come and join us

We have a long established Cub pack and also a rapidly growing new Beaver Colony, which started in January 2008. We are also looking to start a new Scout Troop so if you are interested in helping set up this exciting new branch of our group please get in touch.

'10 bins, 4 planks of wood, 3m of rope and a river full of crocodiles. Sounds like a normal Tuesday night.'
