takes place every Tuesday 7.00-8.30pm, welcoming girls and boys between 8 and 10 years.
An evening at Cubs consists of games, activities, and fun. We follow a programme so each Cub can achieve as much as possible from their time in Scouting. Members of the Scout Association are able to try a wide range of activities not normally available to all young people.
Cubs take part in as many different events as possible in the local village community, but they also take part in events in the local Scouting Community, so they get to meet Cubs from other places and try new things.
We generally arrange 3 weekend overnight opportunities for Cubs each year. We hold weekend camps locally at The Quarries Scout Campsite, as well as indoor weekends away in Oxford/Kettering where Cubs get the chance to try activities they couldn't normally do. We arrange a camp to Brownsea Island (where Scouting began in 1907) every 2 years.
Cubs have the opportunity to take part in lots of different excursions. In the last few years we have visited Northampton Town Football Club, been Tobogganing at the SnoZone, cycled around Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, had muddy hikes in the woods, went swimming, had a tour of Mereway Fire Station and a tour of the Recycling Centre, a trip to the Lazer Zone, an overnight sleepover at Bezerk Indoor Adventure Playground and many many more.
